Episode 57 features an interview with Tex Troester of the Groovy Rednecks.  For those of you that never heard of the Groovy Rednecks they are from Hollywood Califuckinfornia.  They’ve been a band for nearly 20 years and have well over 600 shows together…..not many bands can say that.  Now the reason you may not have heard of ol Tex and his band is because they’ve never really toured except for one time when they spent a couple of weeks in Europe.  I really like the Groovy Rednecks and how often can you find some real deal honky tonkers in Hollywood.  Tex should have his liver retired and be inducted into the Drinkers Hall of Fame, he consumes beer by the gallons before,during, and after each show.  Tex reminds me of the uncle everybody has that shows up to whatever family gathering with a new girlfriend every time and gets shit faced drunk and pukes in the punchbowl, shits his pants, and gives you $10 to beat the phuck outta your brother.  You know the uncle you looked up to and wanted to be like when you got older.  So roll ya a fat one or bang ya a fat one and sit back and listen to tunes by Roadside Revival, Honky Tonk Zeros, The Bonneville Barons, Justin Case & the Sorry Sinners, Patterson Hood, Bill Fadden & the Rythym Busters, The Foghorn Stringband, Toxic Ghost Parade, Jake & the Burtones, The Dead Cats, Country Joe McDonald, The Downtown County Band, Disco Lepers, Hells Fire Sinners, and Prophet & the Cowboys of the Appocalypse.

On episode 56 the featured guest is Curtis Eller……and for those of you that don’t know who he is…..well, for the most part he is a one man band. Just Curtis and his banjo. Picture this its the 1800’s and you walk into any saloon U.S.A. and the entertainment on stage well there he is folks that’s Curtis Eller. Curtis Eller could also be an extra in Gangs of New York, But beating your ass with a banjo instead of a club. How often can you get a history lesson when listening to music and it still be cool? Well with Curtis that is what happens. Episode #0055 “The Coney Island Cockabilly Roadshow” Episode

The Coney Island Cockabilly Roadshow is like a carnival or band of gypsies traveling from town to town.  Its exciting , but yet oh so bizarre.  They travel from town to town trying to sell the locals they’re snake oil that cures everything.  They travel in vans with pitbulls for car alarms.  For me the scene takes place at a dingy basement bar called Bernie’s Distillery located on the campus of Ohio State University.  It was dark and dingy just the way I like it.  All the bands were fncking awesome and very down to earth.  They mingled with the patrons while they waited to play they’re set.  The Squiddling Bros. sideshow brought the bizarre between each set.  And the music was phenomenal a little bit of everything for everybody with Holy Roller Sideshow, Guitar Bomb, Hick’ry Hawkins, Jason & the Punknecks, and Viva Le Vox.  On this Episode I will have an interview with the mastermind behind the Coney Island Cockabilly Roadshow………Ben…..yeah that’s right JUST Ben.  Also I have interviews and music by Polly Punkneck, Guitar Bomb, Hick’ry Hawkins, And Viva Le Vox.  I will also have music on the show by The 3 Kings, The Judy Chops, 16 Horsepower, Hillstomp, Merle Haggard, and D.B. Cooper and the Hard Cash Band.  I almost forgot I also interviewed Sasquatch’s kid brother Artie Elmer, he slaps bass for the punknecks.  If this show rolls through your town at least go to see the burlesque dancers you wont be sorry.

On this episode of It Burns When I Pee we turn the table around and poke fun at ourselves. Blake, Uncle Bubba, and Mrs. Bubba tell some embarrassing tales about one another. These stories include fire, running over people, poor safety patrol, and custom car painting. Of course nothing tops the NEWEST and most embarrassing story in IBWIP history! It’s amazing what Blake will do to reach 400 fans.

Episode 43 “Remember that one time…” also features NEW music from Slackeye Slim, Slate Dump, and Big Jugs. We also spin tunes from The Calamity Cubes, The .357 String Band, The Bastards of Apocalypse, Joey Henry’s Dirty Sunshine Club, and Skid Row! At the end of the show we also feature a short interview with the guys from The Calamity Cubes when they were in town in June.

We are also proud to announce that IBWIP has two new employees. Diva Dave and Encyclopedia Billy’s lives will never be the same! We also read some fan feedback, give an update on where Cocker has been hiding, and end the argument of who is going to read the contact information. Also, Blake decides he is one of the Beatles, plays the trumpet and Mrs. Bubba gets cocky with her new found podcasting fame.
