I know I told y’all that I was through doing the show, but the opportunity to work with Amish BJ and Chris Miller and talk about our new GVTL game was too awesome to pass up. So I pulled out the old podcasting equipment and pressed record. Now your probably wondering, “What the hell is GVTL?” You’ll just have to listen to find out! Make sure that you have a pen and paper because your going to want to follow along (or start composing your complaint letter). Normally I give alot more detail in our show notes but I dont want to spoil any of the laughs. I will tell you that we play music from 500 Miles to Memphis (NEW), The Wild Boars (NEW), Adam Lee & The Dead Horse Sound Company (NEW), The Honky Tonk Hustlers, The Blind Staggers (NEW), Scott H. Biram, and Split Lip Rayfield.

On February 17th, The Hank in Chains Show returns on its new home, Ustream.tv! In addition to the great music from all genres that you’ve come to expect, the first Ustream episode of the show will focus the music of Warren Zevon. It isn’t the first time we’ve featured Zevon, and it certainly will not the last. This time, we will be taking a look at a few different styles and themes of the sadly underrated late singer/songwriter who was far more than “Werewolves of London”. Now that you have cleaned up from Thanksgiving dinner and you have kicked all your annoying relatives out of your house, it’s time to sit back and enjoy the latest installment of It Burns When I Pee entitled “Intervention”.

In this episode we feature a face to face interview and music by Split Lip Rayfield. We also feature music by Truckstop Coffee, Ashley Riley, Liquorbox, Holly Golightly and The Brokeoffs, J.R Preston, and Doktor Barkey. As well as great music this episode is filled with TONS of laughs. Uncle Bubba calls Blake out for hitting on Mrs. Bubba and Blake sings…. ALOT! Uncle Bubba rants about Black Friday and Blake talks about his experience with an Asian girl at the eye doctor.

And if that wasn’t enough (and it usually is MORE than enough) Blake discusses the stains on his shirts, Uncle Bubba does Fan Feedback, and much much more.

We put our own personal spin on that pathetic commercial holiday known as Valentines Day. Get Your Hank On Studio was packed as Blake, Norma Jean, Creepy Guy, and our new buddy Jahshie P (from Outlaw Radio Chicago) set up shop behind the mic and cranked out EP24 “Cupid Killers”. Heck we even had Destiney standing watch over the crew.

In this episode we give you what you all have asked for: MORE MUSIC! We play tunes from Split Lip Rayfield, Hank 3, Johnny Cash, Porter Hall Tennessee, The Steeldrivers, Bob Wayne and the Outlaw Carnies, and many more. We are even going to premiere “Blake’s Song” which was written by our very own host Blake Clayton and preformed by his out of state crush Little Lisa Dixie.

Our great friend Howard, from The Bootleg Asylum Radio Show, wrote and produced this months skit called Open Crotch Necklace. We thank Howard for doing all the work on this skit because we know how it would have ended up if Blake would have wrote it. HA HA HA! We also have a couple of voicemails from some of our fans, and a special song by Blake’s niece, and of course Norma Jean is going to read some fan feedback (we tried to have her do it before the booze kicked in but…). We also call Creepy Guys girlfriend on the phone… Sarah Bear was so excited she couldn’t even talk!

We talk about some new albums that are coming out in the next few months, some shows that IBWIP will be attending in March, and Norma Jean unlocks the secrets of her SEX DRAWER! It was a great time and the live vidstream, “Pee-A-Vision” turned out really good as well.

Come on in to the dirty stalls of IBWIP and join us as we stick the middle finger up at POP COUNTRY and Valentines Day!

2009 has arrived we bet that you have already given up on your New Year’s resolutions… so we are proud to release the first installment of It Burns When I Pee of 2009! In this episode we feature an interview with Bob Wayne of Bob Wayne and The Outlaw Carnies. Bob talks about his music, Nashville, the Seattle music scene, and his close call with being a carnie. We are going to play songs from all three of his albums as well.

Blake and Norma Jean also have alot to talk about. We talk about Creepy Guys fantasy football Super Bowl Championship, how Norma Jean likes her Christmas present, and the IBWIP trip to Champaign, IL to see Split Lip Rayfield. Not to mention that Norma Jean is told that she is the devil by a priest! During the live feed we tried to get listeners to donate to the show so Norma Jean would take her top off but it was a no go, so Blake dropped his pants. Needless to say it wasn’t as popular. Our skit for this episode is VH1 Behind The Music IBWIP style. Throughout the show you’ll hear what the future holds for all the cast members of IBWIP. You’ll be suprised for sure.

Of course we have some great music to play as well. We are going to play songs from Rodeo Kill and Kings Of Hell. As always we are looking for fans to send us requests of bands/artists to play on the show. So make sure you send us an email and let us know who you want to hear.

Episode 3 of The Hank in Chains Show will feature the music of the man, the myth, the legend… Johnny Cash.  Even though he has become somewhat of a tall tale, the actual man and artist was even more complex than the legend.  In addition to playing his incredible music, Eric Morningstar and I will be taking in depth look at The Man in Black and discuss several aspects of his larger than life persona.  Expect lots more great music and commentary as well!
