“Forward into the Past”

I’ll be going solo with my Bootleg Asylum Radio Show for awhile, just as it was in the past. When I started it 2 years ago at Flapdaddy the idea was very simple, just play the music I liked and hope others will find something they never got a chance to hear. And I would take requests from listeners so I would be able to get a chance to find music that I might not have tried without their input.

So this is my new/past format that will be my show for awhile.  The Bootleg Asylum Radio Show “All Request Friday Nights” @ Flapdaddy.com at 12am EST until 2am. Send your song request to http://www.myspace.com/thebootlegasylumradioshow message mail and I will play them on that Friday night; simple!!!

This weeks podcast features a Very High quality Popa Chubby bootleg audio set from his 1996 and 1998 Germany tours. Its been awhile since Onemorename last submitted a show to Section_86. I want to thank you all for continuing to download my past 17 podcasts and for the messages I’ve received asking if I will be doing more in the future. YES!! This is podcast #17.5 (not my normal show at all).  This show is just the music I listen to around our house this time of year.  I wanted to make it a podcast to share with you all in the hopes of you finding other Christmas music that you might not get a chance to hear or at least not mixed together in this way.

This week’s show includes a fantastic sounding 1974 pre-FM/soundboard recording from the band “RUSH“.  The recording was the original broadcast from the radio; so the quality is VERY good!  We are also featuring songs from their first album as well as songs that didn’t make it onto the album. Vintage RUSH!!!

Also this week, Jared Morningstar and OneMoreName review the new Black Crowes album entitled Warpaint.  Three songs from the album will be played this week.

Other artists featured: Alvin Lee, Leslie West, Rebel, Ingham County Regulars, the Guess Who, Omar and the Howlers, Ted Nugent, Astronaut Academy, 18 Wheeler, Roy Fox and the Country Blues, and Bottle Rockets.

Thanks for all your support of the Bootleg Asylum Radio Show, much respect to all that give it a try!
This week’s featured bootleg artist is Alice In Chains. This show was recorded LIVE in 1992 somewhere in Canada.  It is a very great quality sounding set from the best era of the band.  Also Jared Morningstar and OneMoreName will review the brand new album by Eleven Hundred Springs called Country Jam which was released earlier this year. And as always, I end the show with a song from my Dad’s band Roy Fox and the Country Blues. Other artists on this show include: Clinton Miller, Pumpjack, Gov’t Mule, Alice Cooper, Led Zeppelin, Dwight Yoakam, Carmen Lee, Sammytown Jones, Bob Wayne, Buck Owens, and An American Starlet.
