Off the Mark Episode #0185

Slow news this week.  Trish Stratus has her first Kid, WWE ratings stink, and WM 30 matches are being discussed.  On WWE programming this week, CM Punk gets some revenge, Orton takes out Bryan in front of Brie, and Kofi starts a feud with the Wyatts.  On TNA, Dixie begs Hogan and matches are announced for Bound for Glory.  For our weekly topic, we bring in Doug Hahn to the show to discuss WWE’s Battleground PPV this Sunday and what we think will happen.  As always be sure to follow the show @OfftheMark86, Andrew @ahughes86, and Aaron @aphughes. It Burns When I Pee Episode #0113 “An Interview with Neil Hamilton”

For the first time ever on IBWIP we interview an author. We welcome Neil Hamilton into the stalls to talk about his new book, “Outlaws Still At Large: A Saga of Roots Country Music Since the 1970’s” Neil’s book is an interesting and insightful look at some of the musicians making music today in our genre. It isn’t a who’s who or a handbook to roots music, but instead it’s about one man’s journey through a tragic time in his life and how these musicians and their music changed his life.

In the interview Neil and I talk about how the idea to the book came about and what went into making it a reality. We also discuss the Nashville machine and what the future brings for roots music. So make sure to check out the interview and get your hands on a copy of the book. We also spin a music from Dallas Moore, Jackson Taylor & The Sinners, Whitey Morgan & The 78’s, and Jason Boland & The Stragglers who are featured in the book and on the book’s sound track which is also available.
