We were so excited about this interview that we switched around the IBWIP schedule to get it to you folks early! I went to U.S Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington, Illinois to sit down with fellow scumbag Leroy Virgil of Hellbound Glory before their show. In the interview we talk about what it’s been like opening for Kid Rock on a national tour, the new Hellbound Glory Bender Broadcast, and a bunch more. It was great seeing Leroy and being able to see a full band version of Hellbound Glory and it was awesome. Not only is this podcast available as an audio show but it also available as a vidcast at our YouTube page PEEAVISION.

In this episode we were honored to have Ray Lawrence Jr. in the IBWIP Studio. Ray sit’s down with us and discusses how it came to be that he was on the Hank3 Ghost To A Ghost record, his childhood, Spankie Sockmonkey, and much more. Ray also performs three songs for us which includes Lot Lizards Don’t Love You, Check’s In The Mail, and The Right Time to Leave You. It Burns When I Pee Episode #0091 “An Interview with J.T. Wisteard-Petersen”

We cross over the border again here at IBWIP and have another Canadian artist on the show. I have been a fan of Liquorbox for a long time now and it was great to have J.T. on the show. In the interview we discuss him recently becoming a husband and father, what is the current state of Liquorbox, Muddy Roots 2011, and Canada retiring the penny. We also discuss his side projects like The Rotted Roots Ramblers and Cold Distant Stare with J.B. Beverly. We also spin a couple tunes off the new (unreleased) Liquorbox album as well as a couple of our old favorites.

In this episode, we welcome back the Legendary Godfather of Juke Joint Swing, Wayne “The Train” Hancock to the show. Wayne last appeared on the show 5 years ago on EP9. In this interview, we discuss his new album “RIDE”, talk about the recording process, and his relationship with label Bloodshot Records. Wayne talks candidly about his battle against alcohol and his love for motorcycles. We also discuss the first time he heard Hank Williams Sr. and his time in The United States Marine Corp. Along with the interview, we play a couple of tracks off the new album and a couple of our favorite classic Wayne songs.

In another great interview episode of IBWIP, we have a chat with Justin Wells of Fifth On The Floor. The band has a new CD coming out called Ashes and Angels. The official release is March 12th. In the interview we discuss how the FOTF family has grown, Shooter Jennings, the new album, and music. Justin is an amazing singer and songwriter and it was a pleasure having him on the show to represent the band.

The guys of Filthy Still rolled through our little ol town of Pekin in January so they stopped by IBWIP Studio for a performance and interview. THEY DID NOT STAIN OUR CARPET, but we had a great time.
