The sad news was delivered last week… Flapdaddy.com is shutting down for good. The good news though is that this week’s episode of The Hank in Chains Show will ensure that the site will go out with a bang. The final Flapdaddy.com episode will feature the solo music of the Quiet Beatle, George Harrison. While he was forced to take a backseat to John Lennon and Paul McCartney when the Fab Four was taking the world by storm, Harrison would prove that his solo sound was equal, or even better, than that of his more famous bandmates until his death in 2001.

Other music this week from: Bruce Springsteen, Hank Williams, Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers, Meat Puppets, Dropkick Murphys, Drive-By Truckers, Johnny Cash, Mad Season, Robbie Fulks, Screaming Trees, and Mark Huff.

“Montrose, Before The Paper Money Rolled In”

This weeks bootleg set is from a LIVE 1973 radio broadcast featuring an Unknown/Unsigned/Unnamed band  called Montrose. Featuring the fantastic Ronnie Montrose on guitar and Sam Hagar, a singer that would go onto a great solo venture. Most know that Sammy Hagar emerged from the shadow of Montrose and made a household name of his solo works as well as joining as lead singer of the great Van Halen.  Now he has a new project with Joe Satriani called Chicken Foot. This bootleg set showcase’s Sam Hagars early vocal skills mixed with the heavy riffs of the great Ronnie Montrose; indeed a Classic moment on LIVE radio.

Artists on this weeks Bootleg Asylum Radio Show include: Viking Skull, Far From Fallen, Mad Season, Dwight Yoakam, Gov’t Mule, Tommy Mills and the Jade Amenity, Waking Chaos, The Cog, Rebel, Pegazus, Pantera, North Mississippi Allstars, Slow Gun Shogun, Graham Greene, Kodiak Jack, Mountain, Ivan Mihaljevic, Tommie Brewster, and more.
