In this episode Blake, Mollz, and Jason ring in Spring as only IBWIP can. Blake fights a sinus infection and Nurse Courtney is no where to be found. We talk about Blake’s family obsession with Subway Surfer, getting ready for Moonrunners 2014, and Jason gets a feel for how the wedding meter is going.

Blake tells the story of about the 10 hour bachelor party that he recently went to and it takes about that long for him to tell the story. Mollz and Blake argue about why little Eli can’t take a bath by himself, and Blake gets a call to host “Late Night with David Letterman” now that Dave is retiring.

Jason gets Blake excited when he talks about his recent trip to Chicago, and we find out that Mollz has a crush on a guy named Dave. The Easter Bunny joins us in studio and we find out how the chocolate is made and if the Tooth Fairy is a slut. We also play music from Whiskey Shivers, Johnny Cash, John Howie Jr and The Rosewood Bluff, The Goddamn Gallows, and Liquorbox.

This here episode is The Country Heroes episode. The song “Country Heroes” by Hank III is responsible for making me fall in love with country music. Growing up I was force fed country music (amongst other things) when I didn’t want to hear it being a skater punk and all. So well into my adulthood while drunk off cheap beer I heard that song and its been a torrid love affair ever since. On this episode we will have Hank 3, George Jones, David Allen Coe, Hank Sr, Johnny Cash, and Waylon Jennings.

Trick or Treat, smell my feet, give me something good… to listen to! It’s the 4th annual IBWIP Halloween episode. In this episode, we have music by The Meat Purveyors, Carmen Lee and The Tomorrow River Two, The Pine Box Boys, Johnny Cash, Those Poor Bastards, Split Lip Rayfield, Whitetrash Whiplash, The Dirt Daubers, Bobby Bare Jr, Hellbound Glory, and more!

In this episode, IBWIP spits out their first album review. We review Bobby Bare Jr. album A Storm, A Tree, and My Mothers Head. We also discuss The Podcasting God Blake Clayton’s new show and SCM.com. We prep for Halloween by exposing Amish B.J’s bad influence on Coldbeer Coley and having an interview with a REAL Vampire! We also talk about Blake and Uncle Bubba’s trip to Vegas, Coldbeer Coley kissing strippers, and wanting us to have people threating to kill us (wouldn’t that be awesome).

It’s time for the 3rd Annual It Burns When I Pee Halloween Bash! In this episode Blake is joined again by the one and only Amish BJ. What starts out as a Halloween Special quickly turns into talk of kidnapping donkeys, canker soars, and the mysterious disappearance of 150 Facebook fans. BJ and Blake also discuss what Blake needs to do to “Get back the edge”. We get another letter from an attorney during fan feedback, and BJ’s wife interjects to talk about boobies and advises us to get back to talking about Halloween.

And if that wasn’t enough… we have one of the most fun interviews we have ever had on IBWIP. Jakye Orvis, James Hunnicutt, and Rachel Brooke sit down for a little 1 on 3 time with Blake after one of the shows during their tour. Episode 58 welcomes back Karen the Queen of White Trash as she travels to a land far away to get me an interview. Karen goes all the way to Germany and interviews Heinrich of Heinrich XIII and the Devilgrass Pickers. Its hard to believe in a land that loves David Hasslehoff that we can find some really good honky tonkers like these boys. On March 3rd, in addition to an independent-artist heavy lineup, The Hank in Chains Show will feature REM‘s underrated gem of an album, 1996’s “New Adventures in Hi-Fi”. The album was the last to feature the entire original lineup and was written mostly while the band was on a world tour. Unfortunately ignored by fans and the media, “New Adventures in Hi-Fi” is winner and is truly one of the band’s greatest records.
