This podcast features a tribute to Jimi Hendrix. For the whole 2 hours, we have artists covering Hendrix songs as well as artists that were just inspired by Jimi Hendrix. Plus, we play some music by the man himself.  Also Jared Morningstar and OneMoreName review the new album from Watermellon Slim & the Workers called “No Paid Holidays” and we play 3 tracks from it.  Other Artists from this Jimi Hendrix tribute show include: Jimi Hendrix, Frank Marino, Leslie West, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, PM Dawn, Joe Satriani, Slash w/ Paul Rodgers, Seal w/ Jeff Beck, Buddy Guy, Funkadelics, Roy Fox and the Country Blues.

Episode 2 of The Hank in Chains Show includes not only great music and commentary, but, with the help of my co-host and psychology-genius brother Eric Morningstar, an in-depth look at the music of Warren Zevon. A unique singer-songwriter, Zevon wrote devilishly evil, funny, and yet intelligent lyrics that revealed a complex, compelling soul. A moralist in cynic’s clothing according to Springsteen, Zevon was never understood by the majority of mainstream music listeners. And yet, for those of you who aren’t afraid to look deeper into an artist’s words, appreciate dark humor, and simply love great rock and roll… this week’s show will be a must-listen event. Artists/Bands on this week’s show include: Nirvana, John Lennon, George Harrison, Dollar Store, Jason Isbell, Chuck Berry, Dwight Yoakam, Jakob Dylan, Those Poor Bastards, Jerry Cantrell, and Jimi Hendrix.

This weeks show features a fantastic sounding vintage bootleg set with AC/DC from the Bon Scott era that was recorded in 1977. This AC/DC bootleg was a FM broadcast; so the quality is very high. Also Jared Morningstar and Onemorename review the Melvins new album entitled “Nude With Boots.” We also play 3 songs from it. PLUS lots more music from the following artists: Hank 3, Laney Strickland Band, Rush, The Shivers, Van Halen, Jimi Hendrix, Leslie West, and Zane Campbell.
