The Hank in Chains Show Episode #0033 (02/03/2010)

The Hank in Chains Show
Episode #0033 (02/03/2009)

The sad news was delivered last week… Flapdaddy.com is shutting down for good. The good news though is that this week’s episode of The Hank in Chains Show will ensure that the site will go out with a bang. The final Flapdaddy.com episode will feature the solo music of the Quiet Beatle, George Harrison. While he was forced to take a backseat to John Lennon and Paul McCartney when the Fab Four was taking the world by storm, Harrison would prove that his solo sound was equal, or even better, than that of his more famous bandmates until his death in 2001.

Other music this week from: Bruce Springsteen, Hank Williams, Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers, Meat Puppets, Dropkick Murphys, Drive-By Truckers, Johnny Cash, Mad Season, Robbie Fulks, Screaming Trees, and Mark Huff.

The Hank in Chains Show Episode #0028 (11/25/2009)

The Hank in Chains Show
Episode #0028 (11/25/2009)

This week on The Hank in Chains Show, we celebrate Thanksgiving by featuring The Beatles 1965 classic record Rubber Soul. While it did not feature any of the Fab Four’s well-known hits, many critics and historians as not only one of the band’s best albums, but one of the greatest ever released by anyone in the history of music. Seen by many as the band’s transition record between their Beatlemania pop days and their late 60s experimental rock and roll gold, it is a pure sonic pleasure. Enjoy a musical feast, with all the trimmings, on Flapdaddy.com!

Other music this week from: Bob Dylan, Fats Domino, Jordan Zevon, Omar and the Howlers, James Scott Bullard, Hank Williams, Tom Petty, Little Richard, Nirvana, Robbie Fulks, The White Stripes, and Howlin Wolf.

It Burns When I Pee Episode #0030 “The Hank Williams Birthday Special”

It Burns When I Pee
Episode #0030 “The Hank Williams Birthday Special”

So as some of you (that actually listen to the show) know we moved out of Get Your Hank On Studio. It has been one pain after the other trying to get everything done. We couldn’t skip doing Episode #30 because Hank’s birthday is Sept 17th. So I loaded up the computer and went over to Beans-N-Franks Studio to record the show. Unfortunately, we ran into some issues there as well. Thanks to Matt, Liz, and Andy we are getting this Mini-Pee episode out to y’all. It’s only about a half hour long but I picked some great Hank tunes to play. And for those of you that listen to the show for the music only your in luck…. there isn’t much banter in between. Ha Ha. I must say though the stuff we have planned for EP31 at the end of September will be well worth the wait. Take a half hour out of your day and download this special Hank Williams Tribute.
