Bootleg Asylum Radio Show
Episode #0017.5 (12/12/2008)

“Dysfunctional Christmas Daze”

Its been awhile since Onemorename last submitted a show to Section_86. I want to thank you all for continuing to download my past 17 podcasts and for the messages I’ve received asking if I will be doing more in the future. YES!! This is podcast #17.5 (not my normal show at all).  This show is just the music I listen to around our house this time of year.  I wanted to make it a podcast to share with you all in the hopes of you finding other Christmas music that you might not get a chance to hear or at least not mixed together in this way.

Some of the artists on this podcast include: Jeff Beck, Dwight Yoakam, DIO w/ Toni Iommi, Joe Satriani, Steve Martin, The Tractors, Gary Hoey, Jimi Hendrix, Stu Hamm, Heywood Banks, Freddy Fender, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Buck Owens and others!!!

The Bootleg Asylum Radio Show will be back with Podcast #18 the end of January 2009 with a “true” podcast including 40 minute bootleg artist sets and our album reviews with Jared Morningstar. Merry Christmas & HAPPY HOLIDAzE to you all

The Hank in Chains Show Episode #0015 (10/01/2008)

The Hank in Chains Show
Episode #0015 (10/01/2008)

Episode 15 of The Hank in Chains Show will feature the most revolutionary era of one of music’s most revolutionary artists: Bob Dylan. In the mid 60s, Dylan plugged in his electric guitar, sticking his middle finger up at his folk music fans who demanded that he keep making protest songs until he died… much like one of his heroes, Woody Guthrie. Instead of focusing on a folk music future, Dylan went on to fuse rock and roll with his own brand of complex and sometimes abstract poetry, bringing a level of creativity to rock that has yet to be surpassed. Mr. Ecks and Jared Morningstar will examine a selection of Dylan songs from this era, and discuss how they have inspired singer/songwriters for decades.

Artists/bands on this week’s show include: Dwight Yoakam, Mark Lanegan, Black Label Society, Dollar Store, Bill Monroe, The Muggs, The Paybacks, The Dempseys, Stone Temple Pilots, Mudcrutch, and Joe Buck.

The Hank in Chains Show Episode #0002 (06/25/2008)

The Hank in Chains Show (06/25/2008)
Episode #0002

Episode 2 of The Hank in Chains Show includes not only great music and commentary, but, with the help of my co-host and psychology-genius brother Eric Morningstar, an in-depth look at the music of Warren Zevon. A unique singer-songwriter, Zevon wrote devilishly evil, funny, and yet intelligent lyrics that revealed a complex, compelling soul. A moralist in cynic’s clothing according to Springsteen, Zevon was never understood by the majority of mainstream music listeners. And yet, for those of you who aren’t afraid to look deeper into an artist’s words, appreciate dark humor, and simply love great rock and roll… this week’s show will be a must-listen event. Artists/Bands on this week’s show include: Nirvana, John Lennon, George Harrison, Dollar Store, Jason Isbell, Chuck Berry, Dwight Yoakam, Jakob Dylan, Those Poor Bastards, Jerry Cantrell, and Jimi Hendrix.

Episode #0014

Thanks for all your support of the Bootleg Asylum Radio Show, much respect to all that give it a try!
This week’s featured bootleg artist is Alice In Chains. This show was recorded LIVE in 1992 somewhere in Canada.  It is a very great quality sounding set from the best era of the band.  Also Jared Morningstar and OneMoreName will review the brand new album by Eleven Hundred Springs called Country Jam which was released earlier this year. And as always, I end the show with a song from my Dad’s band Roy Fox and the Country Blues. Other artists on this show include: Clinton Miller, Pumpjack, Gov’t Mule, Alice Cooper, Led Zeppelin, Dwight Yoakam, Carmen Lee, Sammytown Jones, Bob Wayne, Buck Owens, and An American Starlet.

Bootleg Asylum Radio Show (03/28/2008) Episode #0006

Bootleg Asylum Radio Show (03/28/2008)

This week’s show is bringing awareness to the cause of getting Hank Williams reinstated BACK into the Grand Ole Opry. We have an interview with Keith Nelter of Neltercreative.com; who is working as an Assistant director to Blake Judd of Juddfims.com. Keith is also working on a Hank 3 on a DVD entitled “Reinstate Hank” that will hopefully be out later this year. Also lots of Hank Williams music by ole Hank himself and other artists covering his tunes. Other artists include: Hank Williams III, Junior Brown, The The, Waylon Jennings, Dwight Yoakam, Ricky Skaggs, John Fogerty, and Lamitte and the other Fingers Band. Plus Jared Morningstar and Onemorename have a conversation about the reinstatement of Hank, his life, and music… Plus we have some phone shoutOUTs to Hank Williams from members of the Hank3.com cussin’ board!

Help bring awareness to the reinstatehank.org website and please sign the petition online. You can also look for the reinstate Hank signature book that will be at all the upcoming reinstate Hank rallys taking place this year! All info on the cause and rallys for Hank Williams reinstatement can be found at reinstatehank.org. And as always thanks for your support!!!

This show was recorded in 2003 and was billed as the “Almost Alone” tour with the help of Keith Gattis. Also, I have a nice set recorded in 2003 from “Gus Lambros & Electric Mud“. They are another great power trio from Ohio. Other artists include: Dwight Yoakam, Gus Lambros & Electric Mud, Gov’t Mule, and The Blasters.

Next week’s show/podcast will be a 2 hour tribute to Hank Williams. This special show will be focused on the reinstatement of Hank into the Grand Ole Opry after all these years! Please show your support the Hank reinstatement show and join Onemorename this Friday @ midnight EST on Flapdaddy.com.
