We help celebrate Bloodshot Records 20th Anniversary by playing music from Corey Branan, Luke Winslow King, and Dex Romweber Duo. Bloodshot has been a great supporter of IBWIP since the beginning and we are honored to help promote their 20 years of hard work.

In this episode we welcome back Mollz to the show. She came in at the last minute to fill in for Whiskey Chaser who had car trouble. In this episode The Voice, Locks Of Love, Mollz, and Blake discuss some recent news articals. Bill Cosby, Jonas Gray, and the “Mother of The Year” who tried to steal booze in her hoo-haa.

Blake discusses more of his assfirmations which really just leads to prove the lack of depth within our panel. We also brought back “Punch It Up” which has the best intro/out on the show and that is about it. Diddling somehow becomes a thing as well.

In this episode, we welcome back the Legendary Godfather of Juke Joint Swing, Wayne “The Train” Hancock to the show. Wayne last appeared on the show 5 years ago on EP9. In this interview, we discuss his new album “RIDE”, talk about the recording process, and his relationship with label Bloodshot Records. Wayne talks candidly about his battle against alcohol and his love for motorcycles. We also discuss the first time he heard Hank Williams Sr. and his time in The United States Marine Corp. Along with the interview, we play a couple of tracks off the new album and a couple of our favorite classic Wayne songs.

It Burns When I Pee Episode #0057 “Hay Is For Horses, Loveless Is For You”

2012 is going to be a big year for IBWIP and it starts with our first episode of the year. In this episode we feature an interview with Bloodshot Records recording artist Lydia Loveless. In the interview we discuss the new album, Indestructible Machine, as well as her song writing process. We also talk about the inspiration for her song “Steve Earle” as well as a bunch of other topics.

Besides playing a triple shot of Lydia, we also spin tunes from The Meat Purveyors, Scott H. Biram, Wayne “The Train” Hancock, Scroat Belly, Mekons, Justin Townes Earle, and Dexter Romweber Duo. All these artists have been or are a part of the Bloodshot Records catalog. But we don’t stop there. As always we bring you some great laughs as well.

In this episode we continue our new segment, “Stupid People Doing Stupid Things.” This is a don’t miss! Amish BJ updates us on Christyfest, drinks a 4 Loco, and fights with Mr. Ed for air time. Our darling Coldbeer Coley continues to get  more comfortable with each passing show. 3…2…1…CONTACT! She reads Fan Feedback, admits she likes to ride “horses” and her Mr. Ed story is actually a short one! Blake realizes he is an asshole, gets interviewed for his presidential campaign, and confesses he is a “minute man”.

Episode #0024 “Cupid Killers”

We put our own personal spin on that pathetic commercial holiday known as Valentines Day. Get Your Hank On Studio was packed as Blake, Norma Jean, Creepy Guy, and our new buddy Jahshie P (from Outlaw Radio Chicago) set up shop behind the mic and cranked out EP24 “Cupid Killers”. Heck we even had Destiney standing watch over the crew.

In this episode we give you what you all have asked for: MORE MUSIC! We play tunes from Split Lip Rayfield, Hank 3, Johnny Cash, Porter Hall Tennessee, The Steeldrivers, Bob Wayne and the Outlaw Carnies, and many more. We are even going to premiere “Blake’s Song” which was written by our very own host Blake Clayton and preformed by his out of state crush Little Lisa Dixie.

Our great friend Howard, from The Bootleg Asylum Radio Show, wrote and produced this months skit called Open Crotch Necklace. We thank Howard for doing all the work on this skit because we know how it would have ended up if Blake would have wrote it. HA HA HA! We also have a couple of voicemails from some of our fans, and a special song by Blake’s niece, and of course Norma Jean is going to read some fan feedback (we tried to have her do it before the booze kicked in but…). We also call Creepy Guys girlfriend on the phone… Sarah Bear was so excited she couldn’t even talk!

We talk about some new albums that are coming out in the next few months, some shows that IBWIP will be attending in March, and Norma Jean unlocks the secrets of her SEX DRAWER! It was a great time and the live vidstream, “Pee-A-Vision” turned out really good as well.

Come on in to the dirty stalls of IBWIP and join us as we stick the middle finger up at POP COUNTRY and Valentines Day!
