2012 is going to be a big year for IBWIP and it starts with our first episode of the year. In this episode we feature an interview with Bloodshot Records recording artist Lydia Loveless. In the interview we discuss the new album, Indestructible Machine, as well as her song writing process. We also talk about the inspiration for her song “Steve Earle” as well as a bunch of other topics.

Besides playing a triple shot of Lydia, we also spin tunes from The Meat Purveyors, Scott H. Biram, Wayne “The Train” Hancock, Scroat Belly, Mekons, Justin Townes Earle, and Dexter Romweber Duo. All these artists have been or are a part of the Bloodshot Records catalog. But we don’t stop there. As always we bring you some great laughs as well.

In this episode we continue our new segment, “Stupid People Doing Stupid Things.” This is a don’t miss! Amish BJ updates us on Christyfest, drinks a 4 Loco, and fights with Mr. Ed for air time. Our darling Coldbeer Coley continues to get  more comfortable with each passing show. 3…2…1…CONTACT! She reads Fan Feedback, admits she likes to ride “horses” and her Mr. Ed story is actually a short one! Blake realizes he is an asshole, gets interviewed for his presidential campaign, and confesses he is a “minute man”.

In the spirt of the holiday season, we here at IBWIP have wrapped up a great little show for ya’ll. Not only do we have a great face to face interview with The Dirt Daubers (prior to their show at Cantina’s in Pekin IL) but we also have music from Tom VandenAvond, Chelsea McBee, The Ten Foot Polecats, Resta^Rant, Old Sleeper, and The Pogues. We also do an album review for Fred Eaglesmith’s “6 Volts” and spin a couple tunes from the album. And if that wasn’t enough music, we also have a special X-mas song from The Pine Box Boys exclusively from their 2011 X-mas card.

We also have a couple of give-a-ways for our fans. We bring back our new segment “Stupid People Doing Stupid Things” as we talk about a lady getting busted for making METH in a Walmart. For some reason, we burp A LOT in this episode too. In the spirit of X-mas, Amish BJ, Coldbeer Coley, and Blake sing their version of “The 12 Days of X-mas”. There is a negative fan feedback, Blake comes out, and we update Peter’s travels and ChristyFest. Finally Blake announces he is throwing his hat in the the presidential election for 2012.

So with having one on the most difficult “computer” months ever here at IBWIP we finally finished EP55. Amish BJ (under the weather) and Coldbeer Coley join me as we discuss everything from Blake’s tour schedule, fights at Chucky Cheese , and Coley’s mysterious problem with Hall & Oats . We update everyone on Peter’s travels across the country, and discuss the breakup of The .357 String Band. In this episode we also feature an interview with Hellbound Glory front man Leroy Virgil. We also spin tunes from Kara Clark, Willy Tea Taylor, The Calamity Cubes, Tom Russell, The Blind Staggers, Aran Buzzas, and The Ugly Valley Boys . And it wouldn’t be an episode of IBWIP without a little conversation with the Christy Boys.

Trick or Treat, smell my feet, give me something good… to listen to! It’s the 4th annual IBWIP Halloween episode. In this episode, we have music by The Meat Purveyors, Carmen Lee and The Tomorrow River Two, The Pine Box Boys, Johnny Cash, Those Poor Bastards, Split Lip Rayfield, Whitetrash Whiplash, The Dirt Daubers, Bobby Bare Jr, Hellbound Glory, and more!

In this episode, IBWIP spits out their first album review. We review Bobby Bare Jr. album A Storm, A Tree, and My Mothers Head. We also discuss The Podcasting God Blake Clayton’s new show and SCM.com. We prep for Halloween by exposing Amish B.J’s bad influence on Coldbeer Coley and having an interview with a REAL Vampire! We also talk about Blake and Uncle Bubba’s trip to Vegas, Coldbeer Coley kissing strippers, and wanting us to have people threating to kill us (wouldn’t that be awesome).

And having the Christy’s on the show wouldn’t be complete without some time spent with Liam and Sean. We talk more about Peter’s travels, our new IBWIP T-shirt offical release date, and a whole lot more. Come join the fun and spend the evening with us.

3-2-1… It’s time for another episode of It Burns When I Pee. Amish BJ and I welcome Coldbeer Coley onto the show for her first run at being our female co-host. We talk about our Muddy Roots experience’s, read a couple of the submissions to the Amish BJ Hate Mail Contest, and we honor our newest friend PAGS from Canadian.

This episode also features a really great interview with Lucky Tubb. We will be playing a couple of songs off his new album, “Del Gaucho”. We also play music by Husky Burnette, The Left Lane Cruisers, John Howie Jr, Modern Earl, Cletus Got Shot, Hank Williams Sr, and Split Lip Rayfield.  We also have an original song produced by IBWIP called Cocker’s Hollar. This is a tribute to our lost friend Cocker.

We also have a new IBWIP contest where you could win an autographed copy of Lucky’s new album! This album isn’t even available to the public yet! So make sure you listen close to the “rules” and get your submission in as soon as possible. There is a lot of stuff that we go over in this episode and we didn’t even scratch the surface of what was originally planned for this episode.  To make a long story short (which is difficult for Coldbeer Coley to do) this is a long episode but worth it for sure.

In this episode of IBWIP, among many things, we celebrate Amish BJs birthday and salute Amy Winehouse as only IBWIP can. Love is in the air. No, its not a really late Valentines Day episode, its the new episode of IBWIP. We are having a wedding in the dirty stalls and we are excited to share such a special moment. A couple of our favorite listeners, Derek and Tawny, were kind enough to let us record their special day. We also feature an interview with our good friend Slackeye Slim and discuss in detail his new album. In the show, BJ and I discuss what makes a good marriage and even get Coley on the show to get a womans point of view. We talk about shooting a pig, Canadians, why all our fans are homophobic, and Amish BJs new show Friday Happy Hour. Come and hang out with us.

Well another year has passed here in the dirty stalls of IBWIP. In this special extended addition of IBWIP we have a ton of great music and special guests to help us celebrate our 50th episode. Amish BJ takes his normal seat as Blakes right hand man but really did a lot of extra stuff to make this episode special and I want to give a big shout out to him and thank him right off the bat. During the show we also have some awesome people sit down with us and share the mic. Sean Phillips from What Would Sean Do, Jashie P from Outlaw Radio Chicago and Last False Hope, as well as a very special sit in by the one and only Uncle Bubba. Yes, folks that is right, Uncle Bubba is back and him and Amish B.J really kick Blakes ass throughout the show! We were also honored to have Professor KAK come in and give us an educated look at IBWIP and its effect on modern culture. This segment with Professor KAK actually lead to the name of the episode being changed to its current title 4 Years of Making People Poo.

To even begin to describe what all is in EP50 would take way too long to type (and I am one lazy S.O.B). It would also ruin all the surprises! We can tell you though that The Christy Boys make an appearance; Uncle Bubba, Amish BJ, and Blake become prophets; Sean tells us why his job kicks ass; and Jashie P gives us some breaking news! We also give listeners all the details on Cockers cousin Peter and how to have him come to visit your town!

Put what matters the most (as it always has for 4 long years) is the music and we play a ton of it. More songs than I think that we have ever played on an episode of IBWIP. We spin new music from Slackeye Slim, Curst Sons, Rachel Brooke, The Honky Tonk Hustlas. Along with songs from The Blind Staggers, Whiskey Clan, The Wild Boars, The Glass Child, Old Sleeper, Those Darlins, Possessed by Paul James, and Aran Buzzas. I mean seriously folks, if we played anymore music youd have to punch your dog!
